CFD Simulation with OpenFoam

In this tutorial we are using Helyx as a front end for OpenFoam. The complete workflow is displayed, from the CAD, Helyx to the postprocessing with Paraview. The video focus’ on a one inlet/multi outlet problem, where it is not clear how much water will flow out of the every opening.

The boundary condition are set to the following values:

  • outlet:
    • velocity: “pressure inlet outlet velocity” 
    • pressure: “total pressure” = 0
  • inlet:
    • velocity: “volumetric flow rate inlet” = 0.1
    • pressure: zero gradient
